Terms of use

1.1 Acceptance of Terms

By using this website, you unconditionally accept these Terms and Conditions of Use. If you do not accept these Terms, please do not use the site.

1.2 Content on www.giuliacornaggia.com

The content on this website, including text, images, graphics, logos and design, is owned by the Owner or her licensors and is protected by copyright law and other applicable intellectual property rights.

1.3 Rights over the content of this site

The Owner holds and expressly reserves all intellectual property rights relating to the aforementioned materials.

Users are not authorised to use the materials in any way that is not strictly necessary or implied for the correct use of the Service. In particular, but without limitation, Users may not copy, download, share beyond the limits specified below, modify, translate, process, publish, transmit, sell, license, transfer or create derivative works from the materials available on this website. Users may also not allow third parties to carry out such activities through their own account or device, even unknowingly.

Where expressly indicated on this website, Users are granted permission to download, copy and/or share certain materials available on this website exclusively for personal, non-commercial purposes, provided that the attribution of the work is respected and any other requirements specified by the Owner are met.

The limitations and exceptions provided for by copyright law remain valid and applicable. Respecting copyright is of fundamental importance.

1.4 Access to external resources

This website may contain links or references to external resources outside the Owner's control. The Owner is not responsible for accessing or using such external resources and disclaims any liability in relation to them.

1.5 Permitted use

Users agree to use the site and its content in accordance with applicable laws, avoiding any illegal or harmful conduct.

Accordingly, the Owner reserves the right to take all necessary measures to protect her legitimate interests, including the power to deny Users access to this website or the Service, terminate agreements, and report any suspicious or objectionable activity carried out through this website or the Service to the competent authorities, such as judicial or administrative authorities. Such measures will be taken where a User commits, or is suspected of committing:

  • Violations of laws, regulations and/or these Terms;
  • Violations of third-party rights;
  • Actions that may cause significant harm to the Owner's legitimate interests;
  • Offensive conduct towards the Owner or third parties.

Terms and conditions for commissions

2.1 Commission requests

The site does not allow direct purchase of products or services. Users interested in commissioning an illustration, a visual communication project or a workshop can contact the Owner by email, describing their needs.

2.2 Quote and agreement

Following the request, the Owner will provide an indicative quote covering price, timeline and specifications for the work. Prices, timelines and details are agreed on a case-by-case basis by email (or another channel chosen by the parties) and are not published on the site, as these are custom-made works.

2.3 Confirmation of the commission

The work is considered confirmed only after explicit agreement between both parties (e.g. written confirmation by email and, if requested, payment of a deposit). Prior to such confirmation, neither party is bound.

2.4 Payment terms

Payment terms (deposit, balance, timing) are agreed on a case-by-case basis at the time the commission is confirmed. The Owner reserves the right to request a deposit before starting the work.

2.5 Retention of ownership

The Owner remains the owner of the commissioned work until full payment as agreed has been received.

2.6 Delivery and delays

Delivery timelines are agreed between the Owner and the client at the time the commission is confirmed. The Owner will make every effort to meet them, but is not responsible for delays due to causes beyond her control (e.g. revision requests outside agreed deadlines, force majeure).

Client rights

3.1 Withdrawal and custom-made works

The illustrations and projects created by the Owner are commissioned works, made specifically for the client requesting them. Under Italian law (Legislative Decree 206/2005, Art. 59(c) — implementing the equivalent EU rules on distance-selling exemptions for customised goods), the right of withdrawal provided for distance purchases does not apply to goods made to the consumer's specifications or clearly personalised.

A withdrawal from the commission after confirmation (point 2.3) may still be agreed directly between the parties, but remains a discretionary possibility rather than a legal right — in such a case, the Owner reserves the right to retain an amount proportional to the work already carried out up to that point.

3.2 Conformity of the work

The Owner undertakes to produce the work according to the specifications agreed in the quote. Any requests for revisions must be communicated within the timeframe established when the agreement was made; the number of revisions included and the conditions for additional revisions are agreed on a case-by-case basis.

3.3 Complaints

For any complaint regarding a work or a commission, the client can write to giuliacornaggia@pec.it. The Owner undertakes to respond within a reasonable time to find a shared solution.
